STRAWBOARD

Composite Panel Market Past
The composite panel market has come a long way in the last 25 years.  From an image of a cheap (price and quality) wood by-product, to today's image of versatility, consistency and economy.

Composite Panel Market Present
Composite panels have achieved this image because of continuous improvements in
  • Manufacturing
  • Tooling
  • Panel process systems
  • Decorative overlays
Due to increased MDF production, prices between PB and MDF have converged, causing downward pressure on prices.

Stawboard is invaluable for use by architects, ready-to-assemble furniture manufacturers, case goods, door and countertop manufacturers.  It can be used by marine, floor laminators, recreational and mobile home, hardwood plywood manufacturers and national account dealers.

Strawboard uses as raw material wheat straw or other stemmy by-products (such as rubberwood, eucalyptus, bagasse, straw, cotton stalks) and a polymere-methylene-diphenyl-diisocyanate resin. The raw material is first
pulped, then dryed, mixed with the resin, formed, pressed and sanded.
