The next generation in products designed to replace dry copper sulfate in dairy footbaths

Now reformulated for higher copper activity in dairy foot-bath solutions. COPPER HOOF 2X immediately takes the solution into the acidic range to optimize solubility. Dry copper sulfate, on the other hand, is difficult to dissolve under a normal dairy’s water pH level of 8 to 9.

COPPER HOOF 2X keeps pH in the optimum range longer, even in the presence of hard water salts and manure. No more copper lies wasted on the bottom.

Only five gallons of concentrated COPPER HOOF 2X will replace up to one ton of dry copper sulfate in footbaths. At typical prices, that saves you almost 50 percent over dry copper in product cost alone. Convenient liquid form saves even more in labor and storage costs. The concentrated power of COPPER HOOF 2X solution keeps the copper ions "bio-active" in the footbath. Unlike dry copper sulfate, virtually 100 percent of the powerful copper ions remain available as a biologically free, active anti-microbial. Other copper products tie up the copper in tight chemical bonds. That weakens potential activity and prevents up to 95 percent of the copper from going into solution. Costly waste results.

COPPER HOOF 2X’s suspended ionic copper requires no mixing. It disperses immediately. Then it’s slowly–and fully–utilized over time, providing total control plus biologically predictable results.

Because the unique TSRW-950 carrier in Copper Hoof 2X maintains the copper as free, active ions, less precipitates from the solution. Less winds up in the pits, lagoon and ultimately on your fields. Lower pollution means a more environmentally friendly dairy.

Applications

Dairy Foot Baths:	For aid in controlling hoof problems.
Barn Recycling Flush Tanks, Waste Pits and Lagoons:	As an aid in stabilizing pH, reducing the volatilization of sulfur compounds and reducing the evaporation of ammonia.

Usage recommendations

Dairy Foot Baths:	In normal conditions: Add 8 ounces of COPPER HOOF 2X per 50 gallons of footbath. In extreme conditions: Add 16 ounces of COPPERHOOF 2X per 50 gallons of footbath.
Farm Ponds:	Add 1 pint of COPPER HOOF 2X per 10,000 gallons of water.
Barn Recycling Flush Tanks:	Add 2 ounces of COPPER HOOF 2X per 500 gallons of water. This will help charge the lagoon.

First Aid

If swallowed:	Call a doctor or get medical attention. Do not induce vomiting or give anything to an unconscious person. Drink promptly a large quantity of milk, egg white, and gelatin solution. If these are not available, drink large quantities of water. Avoid alcohol.
If on skin:	Wash with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
If in eyes:	Hold eyelids open and flush with a steady, gentle stream of water for 15 minutes.
Get medical attention.
Note to Physician: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate use of gastric lavage.

Danger

Corrosive. Harmful if swallowed. May cause severe irritation or damage to eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not ingest.
